Creators Of Peace
“Blessed Are the Peacemakers, for They Will Be Called Children of God” (Matt 5:9)
It would be remiss of me not to speak about our role as peacemakers from the perspective of being a creator. For some, seeing a world subdued by the peace of God is unrealistic. However, I am of a much different mind.
Another word for peacemaker is “peace-creator” or “creator of peace.”
The word “peace” (Greek word “Eirene”) means, “to reconcile, to be at peace, or to make (create) peace.” A peacemaker isn’t just a reconciler between two conflicting parties or longing to be at peace with yourself and those around you. It’s someone who can create the same atmosphere of peace that’s in heaven, on the earth.
Therefore, those who create the peace of God on earth will be called the children of God, which is in reference to the sons of God.
A peacemaker and a reconciler go hand in hand. “Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their wrongdoings against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.”
(Mathew 5:18-19) Reconciliation is the act of being fully restored to God, through Christ. It’s the power of being transformed into a new creation. It’s the revelation of entering the peace and rest of God.
Back in 2010, prophet Bob Jones (Affiliated with Rick Joyner – Morningstar Ministries) prophesied, “In 2020, we will see the people of God entering his rest” Given the current condition of our nation, and the world, some might think that Bob missed the mark.
However, since 2020, I believe the intensity of the opposition in the world has served as a huge motivator for God’s people to enter his rest. Before Israel was set free from the clutches of Pharaoh, things got a whole lot worse before they got better.
In the end, the entire Israeli nation was set free from a world of slavery. Traditionally, we have repeatedly witnessed the “calm before the storm.” which is a peace that comes before a disturbance or crisis.
I believe this repetitive cycle of peace/storm is about to give way to an everlasting peace that will never end. In this sense we go from glory to glory. This peace is not the kind of peace that comes from the world, but an eternal peace that surpasses all understanding. (John 14:27, Philippians 4:5-7 NASB)
Love, joy and peace are fruits of the spirit that will remain now, and forever. (Galatians 5:22) (John 15:16 NASB)
The bible declares, “the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make (create) peace. (James 3:17)
Wow! When we create peace, we are sowing the fruit of righteousness in the earth. We are now in a season when spiritual warfare will take on a whole new look. It will no longer be an embattlement against flesh and blood, or a constant warring against powers and principalities of the air.
Those who are living in the peace and rest of God will become so apparent, that the body of Christ will transition from being students of war (spiritual warfare) to becoming students of peace. In this sense, “we submit to God, resist the enemy and he will flee.” (James 4:7)
Resistant warfare is the act of resisting every work of the enemy from a place of rest. What appears to be a spiritual battle for some is not the same for others. Again, perspective is everything.
To the nation of Israel, Goliath was a paralyzing force to be reconned with. But to David, Goliath’s bark was louder than his bite, thus a minor obstacle to be removed from the path of progress.
Recently, I was inspired to write a song about peace. I knew it was an invitation from God to create the peace of heaven on earth. Every time I sing this song, I can feel the peace of God exponentially increasing through the breath and sound of every word.
“The Song of Peace.”
In a world filled with chaos, where hope seems far away, there’s a longing for so much more, a guiding light to lead the way. Oh, let me sing of everlasting peace, God’s desire for humanity, oh let me sing a peaceful song that brings a sweet release.
(Chorus)Oh, peace, it’s a gentle breeze that calms the raging storm, where love becomes the norm. Your love tells me to believe, whatever this life brings, peace reigns inside of
me.With every step we take, let kindness be our guide, embracing one another with arms open wide. Together we can build a world filled with love and grace, where differences celebrated, and worldly judgment has no place.
(Echo Chorus)
Oh, peace, it’s a gentle breeze that calms the raging storm, where love becomes the norm. Your love tells me to believe, whatever this life brings, peace reigns inside of me.
Sometimes it seems impossible to find peace in troubled times, but deep within our souls, eternal flames burn bright. Let go of anger and hatred, embrace forgiveness and trust, through these acts of kindness, God’s peace is revealed in us.
Blessings,
